Our mission is to be a church that serves in 3D: Devotion to God, Developing together, and Discipling others. At the core of our church are the beliefs that bind us in shared purpose to serve our community. We strive to be a church that emits the light of God's word, providing guidance and direction that will lead others to Christ.
1. Christ-Centered Living
We believe Jesus Christ is the light of the world, and we strive to reflect His light in everything we do. Our worship, our words, and our works all flow from our devotion to Him.
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” – Philippians 1:21
2. Spirit-Led Worship
We welcome the Holy Spirit’s presence and guidance in our services and daily lives. Worship is not just a moment—it’s a lifestyle rooted in truth, freedom, and surrender.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” – 2 Corinthians 3:17
3. Unshakable Truth
We stand firmly on the Word of God. It is our compass, our comfort, and our authority. We teach it boldly, live it faithfully, and share it lovingly.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105
4. Authentic Community
We are a spiritual family united in love, support, and accountability. Everyone is welcome, valued, and called to grow in Christ together.
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35
5. Compassion in Action
We serve others with the heart of Jesus Christ—feeding the hungry, healing the broken, and bringing hope to the lost. Faith without love in action is not enough.
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18
6. Generational Legacy
We invest in the next generation, honoring our elders while equipping youth and children to carry the light forward with bold faith and fresh vision.
“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” – Psalm 145:4
7. Mission-Minded Outreach
We are called to be a lighthouse to our city, our nation, and the world. We share the Gospel with courage, creativity, and compassion.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” – Matthew 28:19
8. Excellence for God's Glory
We pursue excellence—not perfection—to honor God in all things. Whether in preaching, hospitality, media, or ministry, we serve with integrity and joy.
“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31
At Lighthouse Church of God, we believe in one true God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created all things and loves us deeply. We follow Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died for our sins, rose again, and will one day return in glory. The Bible is our foundation, guiding us in truth and life. We believe salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus, and the Holy Spirit empowers us to live with purpose, grow in holiness, and walk in spiritual gifts. As a church, we are called to worship, serve, and share the Gospel, living in unity and shining God’s light to the world.
We believe in the Trinity, which is the doctrine that God is one, existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three persons of the Trinity are distinct and unified, co-existing in perfect harmony and working together to create and sustain the world. They are also co-eternal, having always existed and will always exist together. We believe that the Trinity is an essential part of understanding God and His purpose for us. By embracing the Trinity, we can have a deeper relationship with the Lord and better understand His will for our lives.
We believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible, that it is the true and inspired word of God. According to 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16, We believe that all scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. We believe that the Bible is our standard for life, and its truth, integrity, and relevance is of utmost importance. We believe that the Bible is not just a book, but a living guide, full of God’s wisdom and guidance. We believe that by reading and studying the Bible, we are able to draw closer to God and deepen our understanding of His love.
We believe in the virgin birth of Christ. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. We Believe that Jesus was sent by God to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins so that we could enjoy an eternal life with Him. We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, buried, and was raised from the dead on the 3rd day according to the scriptures. We believe in Jesus’ resurrection, that it was proof of His deity and the promise of eternal life for all those who believe. We believe that it is by faith in and through His (Jesus Christ) finished work, that we are saved and made right in the sight of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity, the Word of God made flesh. Jesus’ teachings on love, forgiveness, humility, and repentance are at the core of our beliefs. We are called to follow Jesus, to live lives of holiness, and to share the good news of the gospel.
We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus was sent by God to save us and give us eternal life. Salvation is only possible through faith in Jesus and repentance of our sins. We understand that we are saved through grace and not by any works of our own. We believe that discipleship, (the journey of following Jesus) and sanctification (progressive process of becoming more like Jesus) are intertwined, with sanctification being a key goal and outcome of discipleship. The Bible teaches us that God’s love and grace are always available to us and we are able to have the assurance of salvation and the promise of eternal life with God.
We believe in the importance of baptism. Baptism symbolizes a believer's commitment to Jesus and His teachings, and is an outward act of confessing our faith in Him. We believe that baptism is essential to Christian discipleship, and it is a beautiful way to proclaim our allegiance to Jesus. Baptism is a sacred and meaningful experience, and we are deeply committed to helping believers celebrate this important milestone in their journey of faith. By celebrating and honoring baptism, we are proclaiming our faith in Jesus and our desire to serve Him and others.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and being filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit following conversion or salvation. We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is the unifying power between God and humanity, and is the source of our comfort, guidance, and strength. The Holy Spirit helps us to understand and appreciate the Bible, and helps us to live out its teachings in our lives. We believe that the Holy Spirit is with us always, faithfully guiding us in our walk with God. We also believe that the Holy Spirit gives us gifts such as wisdom, knowledge, understanding, healing, miracles, tongues, and prophecy so that we can be used to serve God and spread His love.
We believe in the Christian doctrinal belief of The Church. We believe that the Church is a holy assembly of believers, united in faith and love. We strive to be a community of believers who are united in our faith in Jesus Christ and in our commitment to serve Him and His kingdom. We are committed to loving God and loving others, and to be known for our love for one another. We believe that the Church is a body of believers who are called to serve and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to be faithful disciples of Jesus and to follow His teachings. We strive to live out our faith through loving actions and service to our community and the world.
We believe in the power of prayer, both individually and corporately, as an expression of faith in God's work in our lives. Prayer is an essential part of a Christian life and is used to talk to God and to communicate with Him. We pray for guidance, strength, healing, protection, and for our families, friends, and community. Through prayer, we seek to deepen our understanding of God's will and His plans for our lives. Praying helps us grow closer to God and to gain a better understanding of His will and how we can best serve Him. When we pray, we open ourselves up to God and He will answer us in His own way and in His own time. Prayer is a beautiful and powerful way to communicate with our Heavenly Father and to seek His love and guidance.
